Introducing Command Center 2.0: See Every Prospect by Stage in RentEngine
Command Center 2.0 has rolled out to every RentEngine account. The biggest change is a new Board view that shows every lead in the stage they are in, so you can work your pipeline one lead at a time without searching for anyone.
Plus, you can now email prospects from the same conversation where you text them.
Here's what's new in RentEngine.
The Inbox has a new design that takes fewer clicks
The classic Command Center view is now called the Inbox. This is where you answer incoming messages, watch RentEngine AI respond, and schedule showings.
All the prospect information you need in one side panel. You can now switch between tabs in the side panel instead of scrolling:
Details: status, contact info, assigned agent or sub-team, lead source, application status, and pinned notes and follow-ups
Property: costs, showing methods, codes, access instructions, photos, and the marketing description
Prescreening: answers, status, and ID verification, color-coded
Showings: your upcoming showings, where you can call the prospect, reschedule, or cancel
See what needs your attention at a glance. You now see an orange bar on any conversation that needs action, whether that is an unanswered message or an open task escalation. The bar clears once you answer the message or resolve the escalation.
Find any lead faster. You can now search by full or partial name, phone number, or email, and results come back much faster.
Act on several leads at once. You can now select multiple conversations to broadcast to them or mark them as hot leads in one step.
Clear conversations that do not need a reply. Click the three dots on a conversation and choose Snooze. The conversation stays out of your view until the prospect messages again.
Move between leads without a mouse. Press Option + Left/Right Arrow on a Mac to go to the next or previous lead. This works in both the Inbox and the Board view.
See every lead by stage and follow up from one screen with the new Board view
The new Kanban-style Board view is where you run your pipeline. It shows every lead in columns by stage, including Unassigned, New, Showing, Showing unsuccessful, Pending, and Application.
Spot where leads get stuck: you can see which stages leads are piling up in
Follow up quickly: click a lead and the conversation opens next to the Board. From there you can text, email, call, schedule a showing, or send the application link, then move to the next lead.
Track progress without dragging cards: when a lead schedules a showing or submits an application, RentEngine moves their card to the next column automatically.
The Board uses the same icons as the Inbox. An orange bar means action is needed, a star marks a hot lead, and a calendar icon means a showing is coming up in the next 24 hours. When you open a lead on the Board and switch to the Inbox, their conversation is already loaded.
For a leasing agent with a daily follow-up target, that means going through 30 leads in one sitting without searching for each one by property.
You can now email prospects from the Command Center
Leads from listing sites that arrive with only an email address can now be worked in the Command Center like any other lead.
You can also start a new email thread with a prospect, reply inside an existing thread, and CC or BCC yourself or a teammate. Switch between Text and Email above the message box, and the conversation history keeps both channels in one place.
When a prospect emails you attachments, RentEngine saves them to that prospect's documents. Emails go out from one shared leasing address for your company, the same way texts come from your shared leasing number.

Save your filters once and use them across the Inbox, Board, mobile app, and notifications
You can now set your filters once, and RentEngine keeps them every time you log in. The same filters apply to the Inbox, the Board, the mobile app, and the notifications you receive. By default, agents see their own prospects first, and admins can see everything.
You can filter by:
Property: one or more properties, or a whole multifamily building
Agent and sub-team: your leads, specific agents, a sub-team, or everyone
Recipient type: tenant leads for occupied showings, real estate agents, and more
Status and lookback period: any stage, over the time window you choose
Hot leads, unresponded leads, or leads without a scheduled follow-up
Unassigned leads, unregistered leads, and archived conversations: include or hide each one
Accounts: if your company runs more than one RentEngine account, you can see all of them in one Command Center
An agent on a sub-team can hide unregistered callers and leave those to the receptionist or RentEngine AI.
Where to find it: Command Center > Filters, top right.
Use Tasks to create action items for your team
Tasks let you customize which situations you want your team to jump in.
For example, Admins can create a task so that any missed call or canceled showing creates a new task for a team member to call that prospect. Tasks show with an orange border and are cleared after you respond or handle the action. You can also manually resolve them.
In this release, there are 14 types of Tasks that you can enable, with more coming soon. We've automatically enabled tasks for unresponded message, missed call, AI escalation, showing approval.
Use Tasks to bring your leasing SOPs into RentEngine.
Where to find it: Settings > Communication > Tasks.
Prescreen walk-in prospects when you add them, and review results in one tab
When you add a prospect, you can now complete their pre-screening in an optional second step. You can enter their desired move-in date, credit score, monthly income, housing voucher status, and answers to your custom questions. You can also upload a photo of their ID or capture one with your camera. Every field is optional.
Each prospect's results now appear in a Prescreening tab in the side panel, and you can approve or reject them from the card in the conversation. If a prospect pre-screens more than once, the tab shows their most recent result for that property.
A prospect who walks into your leasing office can be added, pre-screened, and shown the unit in one visit.
Where to find it: Command Center > Add Prospect > Prescreening (with optional fields). Results appear in the Pre-screening tab of the side panel.

Hot Leads and feature a listing
You can now mark any prospect as a Hot Lead, one at a time from the three-dot menu or several at once. Hot Leads get a star, appear at the top of the Command Center, and have their own filter.
When you feature a listing in the Properties tab, RentEngine moves it to the top of your website widget and marks every new lead for it as Hot.
For a unit that has been sitting on the market, featuring it means your team sees every new lead for it first.
Where to find it: Command Center > three-dot menu on any lead > Mark as Hot Lead. To feature a listing, go to Properties > click the star icon.
