SMS preview images
Your prospects now see a photo of the actual property when they receive a link via text — not just a RentEngine-branded preview. Whether it’s a scheduling link or showing confirmation, they’ll now get a clearer picture (literally) of where they’re going.
An overall more professional and engaging experience.
Register interest for On Hold or unavailable properties
Previously, if a property didn’t have active showing availability, the lead would just… leave. Now, they can register their interest directly on the website.
This new feature kicks in when a property is marked On Hold or doesn’t have available showing times. Instead of a dead end, prospects will see a friendly message and a short form in place of the scheduling widget — letting them leave their contact info so your team can follow up when it’s ready.
Blocked times by unit
You can now take a property offline for just a few hours. From the Showing Calendar tab, you can block specific days and time windows for individual units.
Now you don't need to override the property's entire weekly schedule or make changes to your synced personal calendar.
This is in place for both Accompanied and Self-guided showings.
Application visibility controls
You can now manage application visibility in two ways:
Accept applications if unit is on hold (yes/no)
Hide applications on listing (yes/no)
This gives you more control over when prospects can apply — especially helpful in states like California where unprocessed applications must be refunded. Just turn off applications when a property isn’t actively being leased.
Default piggybacking settings
We’ve added a setting that lets admins define a default company-wide rule for piggybacking so there's no more toggling it per agent or per property.
As a reminder: you can set change your Smart Scheduling preferences in Settings > Showings > Company.
Custom send times for owner reports
Want your owner reports to send on a different day of the week? You can now customize the send day at the company level. This gives you better control over when reports hit inboxes, especially helpful if you batch other owner comms around it.
Faster Command Center updates
Now, when you send a message from the Command Center, it clears instantly from the left pane, making it easier to see what’s been sent, and what still needs attention.
This small UX improvement helps reduce mental load for leasing agents juggling multiple conversations.
Smarter follow-ups
We’ve improved the copy and logic behind our follow-up messages and system-generated texts.
These small tweaks are already showing a positive impact on conversion rates. We have some interesting data coming out around this in our Q2 Leasing Report — register here to receive it first!
Custom showing windows
You can now set up custom showing availability in 15-minute blocks. This gives you more flexibility, especially if you’re working around tight building rules or trying to fit in a few more showings on a busy day.
Clickable links in Command Center unit info
Got reference links, building entry docs, or parking instructions saved in unit notes? They’re now automatically clickable in the Command Center!
Copy lockbox instructions
When you generate a code from the Lockboxes tab, the “Copy” button now grabs everything: the code and the showing instructions.
