Product Updates: Week 43

Dwellsy is now part of the RentEngine syndication network, so every available listing publishes there automatically and Dwellsy leads land in your Command Center. Fraud Guard now flags prospects whose device timezone is far from the property, and prospects with only an email address now show up in the Command Center.

We also shipped updates to listing fee display, application service fees, and the Agent Performance report.

Here's what's new in RentEngine.

Your listings now syndicate to Dwellsy

Dwellsy is now a RentEngine syndication partner. Your available listings publish to Dwellsy automatically, with no setup and no extra cost.

When a renter inquires on Dwellsy, the lead comes straight into the Command Center. Here, RentEngine AI responds and your prescreening and showing rules apply exactly as they do for every other source.

Fraud Guard now flags prospects whose device timezone is far from the property

Fraud Guard now checks the timezone set on a prospect's device against the timezone of the property they want to tour. When the two are too far apart, we flag the prospect and hold the showing until you approve or cancel it.

Scammers often run rental fraud from overseas, and a device timezone is one more signal that is hard to fake alongside ID verification, phone verification, and GPS checks. A prospect booking a self-guided tour in Phoenix from a phone in Nigeria now just flag to your team before they can get an access code.

Where to find: Settings > Showings > Prescreening, then open the template and go to its Fraud Guard section.

Prospects with only an email address now appear in the Command Center

Prospects who give you an email address but no phone number now appear in the Command Center.

Some listing sites and website forms only pass along an email address. Those leads now sit in the same inbox as everyone else, so your team can follow up with them instead of losing them outside RentEngine.

Fraud flags now appear in the showing approval email

When a showing needs your approval, the approval email now lists the fraud flags that prospect triggered. You can see why we held the showing and decide whether to approve it without opening RentEngine first.

Show fees on listings outside Colorado, Connecticut, and Massachusetts

You can now choose to show the total monthly price, including mandatory fees, on listings in any state. We already show the total price for properties in Colorado, Connecticut, and Massachusetts to meet those states' rent transparency rules. This update lets you opt in everywhere else.

We also no longer include optional pet fees in the advertised total, so a renter without a pet sees the price they would actually pay.

Where to find it: Settings > Portfolio > Fee transparency

Pass the application processing fee on to applicants

You can now pass the RentEngine application payment processing fee on to applicants. When you turn this on, we add the service fee to the amount the applicant pays at checkout, instead of billing it to you.

Agent Performance

Median response time now counts business hours only

The Agent Performance report now calculates median response time using business hours only. A message that arrives at 9 p.m. on Friday and gets a reply at 9 a.m. on Monday no longer counts as a 60-hour response. So now, the number reflects how quickly each agent responds while they are actually working.

Where to find it: Intelligence > Agents > Response Time.

New Task Escalations chart

The Agent Performance report now includes a Task Escalations chart. So now, you can see how many tasks were escalated to each agent and spot where work is piling up.

Choose which tasks the Command Center raises, from unresponded messages and AI escalations to missed showings and prospects who opt out
